Red Reminds Me
A short documentary that shows how Black women are disproportionately impacted by HIV. Stacy shares her story of resilience. Janneke worked with the non-profit organization SEEDS of Healing to film this piece. Directed, shot and edited by Janneke.
Baffin Bay Deglacial Experiment Short Documentary
Janneke was the assistant director and assistant editor for the BADEX documentary. The film documents scientists conducting research about the West Greenland ice sheet, using mud from the seafloor to discover their findings. Janneke was on site the Research Vessel Neil Armstrong in Greenland.
VIOLET
A story of a young woman dealing with grief and the inner strength she must find. This film is in memory of the director’s grandma, Violet Wade. Written, directed and edited by Janneke.
COLOR IS NOT A CRIME
A short documentary that examines how Black Lives Matter Street Art can create positive social change within the BLM movement. We hear from the mother of Eric Garner and the artists who’ve created BLM murals. The film advanced to the Semifinals of the Student Academy Awards. Directed, shot and edited by Janneke.
